Sent in the letter!

Today is the day that I sent in the query letter for my first novel! I'm so incredibly nervous. I'm so sure I forgot something, but I did a check and a re-check and another re-check and I haven't. I need to just stop worrying. I hope to god that they like it and want to see it, the query letter is really my only worry. If they want to see the first three chapters, I think I might be able to get them to like it.
Oh well, nothing I can do now but wait and hope.

My Ideal Prince

No, not my real prince. unfortunately, this princess hasn't found a prince yet, so she decided to make one up for herself! What better way for the lonely to suffer through St. Valentines Day than by making up a love for themselves? It's never good to be lost in delusion, but on some days it's better to be. Like going on a vacation.

This is actually a picture of Saito Takumi, a hot asian actor. But I like to use him as the image of my prince, Aaron! If Aaron existed, he would be the nicest guy ever. He would be the ideal prince: Sweet, creative, sensitive, and happy to defend me if it comes to that.

I don't know why I decided to post this, but, why not? Make sure to tell me about your ideal princes too! They can be your real princes or ones that you made up to get through Valentines day.

But have a happy Valentines day! Even if you're like me and have no Prince <3

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Rise of the Lycans has to be hands-down the best movie ever. I just saw it and now don't want to watch anything else incase I lose the images of it in my head. I wasn't sure how good it would be, considering the fact that it's the third installment of the series. It was amazing, completely wonderful and stays true to the movie timeline in every aspect. There were a few tiny things I noticed but they mean nothing compaired to the big picture.

In celebration of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans exceeding my expectations, I've compiled a list of Vampire movies/games that would make any vampire night something to really sink your teeth into!
  1. Queen of the Damned
  2. Underworld
  3. Underworld: Evolution
  4. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
  5. BloodRayne
  6. BloodRayne 2 (The game.)
  7. Interview with the vampire
  8. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
The only reason I didn't put Twilight in here is because I honestly don't count it as a vampire thing. Sure, they say they're vampires and they do drink blood, but in all fairness vampires don't shimmer in the light. I know vampires are mythologies and can be manipulated anyway anyone wants, but honestly? That's just silly.

Phantom of the Underworld

Today's been kind of a busy day now that I think about it. Despite the coming and goings of the usual school day and the lazy hours that would have probably been better spent at least trying to learn something was instead spent listening to Aqua and reading my Anita Blake novel "Circus of the Damned" by Laruell K. Hamilton.

Tomorrow I'm going to go see the new Underworld movie "Rise of the Lycans." The only thing I think that movie will have as far as problems go is that Kate Bekinsale and Scott Speedman aren't going to be in it. But Bill Nigh and the guy who plays Lucian (The character I have a special affinity for) are going to be in it so that should be nice. I get to see Lucian without his shirt on, so that will be fun.

Here's a trailer for those who haven't seen it advertised on TV yet:

I personally can't wait for it. It looks like it'll be a great movie, despite the obvious disadvantages in casting.

Today I've also started getting back into Phantom of the Opera (the 2004 movie) but I'm not entirely sure how. I just fell back in love with it somehow, probably thanks to the "A mirror between Worlds" fanfic I'm currently reading on it.

So yeah, that's pretty much it for today. I'm going to start thinking about more things to put on my blog to make it more interesting. I've got an idea or two stocked up, so that should work okay.

Welcome to The Lost Kingdom!

Welcome to the first post on my new blog The Lost Kingdom!

Inspired by the Princess Portal created by Princess Skye (www.princessportal.com) and will be my own personal blog.
I have today off from school for Martin Luther King Jr. day and am planning to spend it working on my manuscript and refining my new blog! Although the begining of the day didn't go quite as planned. I wanted to get up early so I could get right down to work, but when I woke up at 9:30, I decided to sleep five more mintues. I ended up waking up an hour and a half later.

I'm getting close to the end of my manuscript and will probably print out some of the chapters I have done so I can edit them. With over two hundred pages so far, its never too soon to start editing! Based on when I timed myself with the last chapter, I found out that it takes me twelve minutes go through it once. So the editing process shouldn't take all that long. But it won't be any barrel of laughs either.

Sorry this one was kind of boring, but what all can I write about if I'm spending the day working on my blog and manuscript? The next posts will be more interesting :D

See you <3
